Wow! Two blog posts in a day. What got into this guy? Well like I said I'm off work for the next 2 weeks. I've got nothing to do and all day to do it. And it's Christmas Eve and I was going to try something new (for me). I'm going to post a video for the holiday season. Some 30+ years ago when I was in the USAF I was stationed in Hawai'i from 1979 to 1981 and spent a few Christmases at the beach. And me being from middle earth (the great plains) was different and a real treat. Imagine this 20 something getting to play beach bum, it's 85F on December 25. Heres a video to show what it was like. A Hawaiian Christmas song by Bette Midler.

Well I guess you thought I fell off the face of the earth by now! I've been very busy with work and now I'am on vacation until 6 Jan. Not going any where exciting, maybe a day trip. I did run around town to pay some bills and last minute Christmas shopping. I stopped by my bank to get some cash, after hearing the story about Target customers getting all those credit cards scammed, I was going to do my shopping with cash! When I left the bank I took a photo to prove that winter has definitely settled into the middle plains. No snow yet just very cold. One of the many reasons I wish for March to get here.

Just wanted to stop in and make a quick blog post. With family and job, I'm finding it very difficult to find anytime to get any blogging done at the moment. I still haven't told about my trip to the art gallery of a friend of a friend of mine, their both very talented and nice people. And last week I tried my hand at making Hawaiian Malasadas. Don't worry Anne Marie I took pictures. They are very "ono" dee-lish, as Ron would say. As of today the Choonuk express made it's way to the central plains. Went from a high on Monday of 40F to a high of only 18F today. Brrrrrr!

I was going post a story about a excursion I took a few Saturdays ago to eastern Iowa. With a friend from work to check out an open house for a husband and wife artists friends of his. Or how I was going to show me attempt to make some holiday treats for family and friends. But instead something happened this past Sunday that has me a little bummed out. For quite some time I've been trying to get the attention of a certain someone, and am not sure the best way to do it. Our two lifes don't cross that often, but I found they would be in certain places almost every day and time each week. So I made sure to be there as well. And me being over cautious and this being a small town, I guess I started to be a little bit too obvious. The last time I saw them they were more than flustered and now I'm afraid I won't get to know them better. I left the store we were at thinking well I guess I F#*ked that one up! And I now fell like I'm back at square one as far as meeting someone new. I'm sorry I can't be more open as far as were, what, and names. I'm not ready to open up more yet. I thought maybe some other blogger would have some sage advice. I think I already know, I'll just more on and let it go. They are just not into me. Well that's enough drama for one post. Normally I'm very much drama free. And to my blgger buddy Ron- Retired in Delaware I found the larger font key!

Well the month we call November is just about over and I thought I'd better add an other post. My problem is I have a lot to say just not in text. I have some adventure to share so I'll save them for next week. I have all the week off of Thanksgiving! yaaaah. Here in the Midwest the weather can change almost over night to prove that I thought I'd show everyone pictures of my house. it's not nearly as bad as the picture show, let's just say that Wedensday it was 62F and Thursday it was 26F. Happy blogging, I've got more old 110 prints from 30 years ago to scan.

Well I started this blog Sunday Oct13 2013, I'm still trying to figure it all out. This is my 3rd post because some how I deleted the 1st. I said I'm not much of a writer or story teller, sooo please be patient with me!I finally got around to it from the prompting of Ron, Retired in Delaware, Jay in VA, and Anne Marie in Philly. I also mentioned 180 days or 6 months to Ploggerpalooza 2014! Here is a photo of Randy in NEB although it was taken in July 2008. I hope to have much fun blogging!
