Merry Christmas=Mele Kalikimala
Wow! Two blog posts in a day. What got into this guy? Well like I said I'm off work for the next 2 weeks. I've got nothing to do and all day to do it. And it's Christmas Eve and I was going to try something new (for me). I'm going to post a video for the holiday season. Some 30+ years ago when I was in the USAF I was stationed in Hawai'i from 1979 to 1981 and spent a few Christmases at the beach. And me being from middle earth (the great plains) was different and a real treat. Imagine this 20 something getting to play beach bum, it's 85F on December 25. Heres a video to show what it was like. A Hawaiian Christmas song by Bette Midler.

Well I guess you thought I fell off the face of the earth by now! I've been very busy with work and now I'am on vacation until 6 Jan. Not going any where exciting, maybe a day trip. I did run around town to pay some bills and last minute Christmas shopping. I stopped by my bank to get some cash, after hearing the story about Target customers getting all those credit cards scammed, I was going to do my shopping with cash! When I left the bank I took a photo to prove that winter has definitely settled into the middle plains. No snow yet just very cold. One of the many reasons I wish for March to get here.

I'm still here!
Just wanted to stop in and make a quick blog post. With family and job, I'm finding it very difficult to find anytime to get any blogging done at the moment. I still haven't told about my trip to the art gallery of a friend of a friend of mine, their both very talented and nice people. And last week I tried my hand at making Hawaiian Malasadas. Don't worry Anne Marie I took pictures. They are very "ono" dee-lish, as Ron would say. As of today the Choonuk express made it's way to the central plains. Went from a high on Monday of 40F to a high of only 18F today. Brrrrrr!
